Camvital Scan is a wellness and fitness app that estimates heart rate using your iPhone camera and flash. This app is designed so that heart rate processing happens on your device.

Information the app uses

• Camera access to record fingertip color changes for pulse estimation.
• Optional Apple Health access if you choose to read or save heart rate data.
• On-device settings such as age and Apple Health preference.
• On-device measurement history if you keep prior readings in the app.

How data is handled

• Camvital Scan does not require an account.
• Camvital Scan does not run ads.
• Camvital Scan does not use third-party analytics SDKs.
• Camvital Scan does not send your heart rate readings, age, or history to developer-operated servers.
• Settings and local history are stored on your device using Apple system storage.
• Apple Health access is optional and only occurs if you grant permission.

Apple Health

If you enable Apple Health integration, the app may request permission to read heart rate samples and save heart rate readings that you choose to store. Health data is managed by Apple Health and the permissions you grant on your device.

Your choices

• You can deny camera permission, though measurements will not work without it.
• You can decline Apple Health permission or turn it off later in iPhone Settings.
• You can delete stored app history from inside the app.
