StepBeacon is designed to help you track walking activity on your iPhone while keeping your information local to your device whenever possible.
What StepBeacon accesses
StepBeacon requests Motion & Fitness permission so it can read step count, walking distance, and stair activity from Apple system motion data available on your device.
What StepBeacon collects
StepBeacon does not require an account and does not collect personal information on a remote server. The app does not include advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, or third-party trackers.
How data is stored
Preferences such as your daily goal, measurement unit, and demo-mode settings are stored locally on your device. App history and summaries shown by the app are also intended for on-device use.
Data sharing
StepBeacon does not sell your data and does not share your motion activity data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
Your choices
- You can deny Motion & Fitness access in iOS Settings at any time.
- You can remove the app from your device if you no longer want to use it.
- You can reset local app preferences by deleting the app from your device.
